IT Disaster Recovery/Production Support , Officer
Who we are looking for:
State Street is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Disaster Recovery Coordinator to join our Recovery management team. This role is critical in ensuring the resiliency and continuity of our business operations through effective disaster recovery planning and execution. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating disaster recovery activities, testing, and response strategies. This position requires availability to work on weekends and during off-hours as necessary to support recovery efforts and testing.
What you will be responsible for :
• Technical Disaster Recovery Planning and Execution: Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive IT disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure business continuity.
• Coordination: Work closely with various technical departments to coordinate disaster recovery test, ensuring all IT stakeholders are prepared for potential disruptions.
• Testing: Organize and conduct regular disaster recovery tests and drills, including both tabletop exercises and full-scale simulations, to validate the effectiveness of recovery plans.
• Incident Response: Act as a key point of contact during disaster recovery incidents, coordinating response efforts and ensuring timely communication and resolution.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of all disaster recovery activities, including test results, incident reports, and improvement plans.
• Compliance: Ensure disaster recovery plans and activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in disaster recovery processes and work to implement enhancements.
• Weekend and Off-Hours Work: Be available to work on most weekends and during off-hours as required for disaster recovery activities and testing.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of disaster recovery planning and coordination.
• Understanding of IT disaster recovery principles, methodologies and business continuity programs.
Technical skills:
• Experienced in the development, testing, and updating of disaster recovery plans and topology diagrams.
• Familiarity with both Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with cloud applications on AWS or Azure is necessary.
• Technical background in Oracle and SQL database systems.
• Knowledge of network architecture, including DNS and load balancers.
• Being able to effectively utilize orchestration software and tools like Cutover and AaaS.
• Understanding data backup and recovery solutions for both file systems and databases is important.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work on weekends and during off-hours as necessary to support disaster recovery activities.
Salary Range:
$75,000 - $120,000 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
